The Million Books Mandate started in 2019, with the goal to distribute 1 million brand new reading books over the course of 10 years to local community schools in need. Due to the lack of funding many schools in disadvantaged areas have closed their library doors. This has resulted in many children seeing a steep decline in their academic performance and literacy competencies.

We are firm believers in, children that read will be children that lead. Our mission is to reopen school libraries and provide good quality age appropriate reading books. With this in mind, our local house has begun distributing books to schools in KZN as well as other parts of South Africa. Together we can partner and become agents of change in the lives of children.
